Example MDT-270 and MDT-290 Configurations.

DisplayCheck offers several automated material handling options. Each can be customized to match the target factory environment. All are based upon existing industry standards and equipment, thus the initial investment and total cost of ownership is lowered by utilizing technology from similar manufacturing environments. For example, DisplayCheck is currently working with technology from the disk drive industry to provide a very cost-effective handling solution.

The MDT‑270 Microdisplay Tester was designed for integration with existing microdisplay fabrication equipment to provide semi-automatic handling of the device under test.  In addition to the same low and high magnification features and test suites of the MDT‑250 Inspection Systems, the MDT‑270 Series will be capable of automatically probing the device under test.  An open design and optional configurations of the MDT‑270 Series allow access outside the test area for easy interface to various production equipment options.

The MDT‑290 Microdisplay Tester was designed as fully automated handling, stand-alone, microdisplay inspection systems.  Input and output magazines will feed and remove trays loaded with display devices to the measurement system and will operate unmanned for periods based on queue size.  Once the tray is positioned, the MDT‑290 measurement system will automatically probe and inspect the microdisplay.  The MDT‑290 Series will have the same low and high magnification capabilities and software test suites as that of all the MDT family of testers with options to accommodate many forms of display device carrier methods.
